Kush Community Arts & Media Development is commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jnr’s iconic ‘I have a dream’ speech with a spoken word competition for school children in Hackney. KS2 children will be encouraged to write down and perform their own insights into how we can live together as a multicultural society. The I have a dream MLK50 Hackney Schools Spoken Word Competition , in partnership with Hackney Museum, will also have a designated website which will feature video footage of the children’s performances. Three children with the most votes will participate in a live final in December 2013.
