On 8 Septempber 2016 in London, the Africa Fashion Guide turns five and will be hosted an anniversary Fashion Africa conference entitled The African Market.
As the international fashion industry ponders questions, including whether the African marketplace is ripe for business or if there a growing consumer market in Africa ready to buy, the Africa Fashion Guide plans to host a results-focused event to address these and other pressing questions. The conference will bring together influential stakeholders and actors, to showcase the changing perceptions of Africa’s fashion and textile industry and to encourage fashion business in Africa.
Confirmed speakers include, Andrea Bury (Abury), the African Development Bank, Chayet Chienen of Nothing But the Wax, Daniele Tamagni (streetstyle photographer and author), Keren Long (Ethical Apparel Africa), Laduma Ngoxolo (Maxhosa) and Mark Stephenson (Sandstorm Kenya), among others.
