Words of Colour Productions’ executive director Joy Francis met with Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith, the award-winning writers of Channel 4’s acclaimed four part drama series RUN. Friends since their teens, their strong creative partnership secured them a Royal Television Society Award and a BAFTA award for their writing skills.

Filmed at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton, their childhood stomping ground, they discuss their longstanding writing partnership, how they came up with the concept of RUN, secured the talents of stellar actors, including Lennie James, Olivia Colman and Katie Leung, and are dealing with the high expectations for series two, not least from themselves.
