Sharmila Chauhan’s new play Purnjanam/Born Again is one of two productions that form part of the Tagore’s Women Double Bill at the Southwark Playhouse in January 2012. Directed by Janet Steel, Chauhan’s play explores, class gender and sexuality. Purnjanam/Born Again is part of an experimental project by the award-winning Kali Theatre Company to produce plays inspired by female characters in the works of renowned artist Rabindranath Tagore.
