Words of Colour Production’s featured poet Nick Makoha brings his acclaimed one man show My Father & Other Superheroes to two venues as part of a literature showcase at the Southbank Centre and a Father’s Day special at the Unicorn Theatre. First performed at Theatre Royal Stratford East and directed by Benji Reid, Superheroes is a powerfully moving story about the journey from childhood to fatherhood and one man’s struggle to come to terms with the responsibilities of being a parent and the pain of dealing with his own absent father. Supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Makoha appears in association with the Southbank Centre and Nimble Fish.
